Cryptid : Wurdulys

Pronounced "voor-duh-liss", the name is derived from Margrançois : Vautour du Lys (vultures of the lily) a term once used to describe those who profaned graves. Vultures being viewed as an ill omen, guardians of death and decay, and lilies being funereal flowers placed over tombstones in Margrace culture.

Today, the word Wurdulys refers to many sorts of supernatural apparitions, from ghosts to revenants. Although no one can truly confirm their existence, most people believe them to be real. Many different theories abound regarding their origins and appearance, but there are many common features to such speculations : they fear daylight, fire is the only way to eliminate them, and a person will turn into a Wurdulys if they are bitten by one.

The abandoned village of Vent-Tremblant is believed to be where they congregate.
